Academic Curriculum
(SUBJECT CHOICES IN GRADES XI AND XII)
The Indian Public School from grade IV to XII follows the CBSE curriculum. The pool of experienced educators, including successful PhD holders and qualified Engineers, are confidently placed to create a pedagogical lineup that is an asset to the school and a great help to the students. The Student-Teacher ratio is 10:1.
Class XI & XII is a composite course. We encourage and offer subjects to students in class-XI, which are close to their heart & prove to be a stepping stone towards their careers. At The IPS, students can take five or more subjects in Class XI. However, they need to continue the same subjects in Class XII. The three streams from which student can opt for are:
- Science (Medical/Non-Medical)
- Commerce
- Arts/Humanities.
At The Indian Public School, a student while opting for Sciences in grade XI has a choice of choosing from either Biology OR Mathematics OR both. However in case a student wishes to choose any one of Biology OR Mathematics then he/she can choose any one subject from the following subjects as his/her fifth subject:
Economics, Home Science, Psychology, Painting, Physical Education, Music, French, Computer Science /Informatics Practices, Banking, Hindi, Mass Media, Yoga
- English
- Business Studies
- Any one of the following subjects :
Mathematics (Applied), French, Information Practices/Computer Science, Physical Education, Entrepreneurship, Psychology, Sociology, Painting, Music, Banking, Hindi,Home Science, Mass Media, Yoga.
- Mathematics (Applied), Home Science, Hindi, Painting, French, Physical Education, Music, Banking, Mass Media and Yoga.
In a nutshell, we at The IPS give a choice to choose any subject "under his/her choice" which is permissible under the CBSE norms. Alongside, the school is also open to the idea of offering an additional sixth subject (optional) if a student wishes to, under the CBSE norms.
