The wide spectrum of games and sporting activities at The Indian Public School is both enviable and delightful for sports lovers. It is made possible by the school management, which is of the view that games and sporting activities are an integral part of a comprehensive school curriculum, offering opportunities to students to play a number of games during term time, and also ensure their all round development. A physical regimen like this in place at the school, promises the healthy growth of students.
The Indian Public School has standardized facilities for football, cricket, rugby, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, meeting internationally accepted standards. In addition to these outdoor sports, the school offers indoor games such as table tennis, badminton, chess, snooker etc. We would also be adding to our list a popular demand of an ‘Open Gym’ which would be operational from the new session (2024-25). Furthermore, traditional games like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho are also popular in the school. The Horse Riding Complex and the Swimming Pool also contribute to the ever expanding-spectrum of games and sports at the school.
It might be right to say that the crowning glory of all games concludes with track and field events.
The Annual Sports Day is eagerly awaited at the school. It is celebration time for students who have trained hard and confidently positioned to achieve glory. The track and field events on sports day, offer participants from the four houses to compete in 21 disciplines. The added attraction of this final day is the March past by contingents of Aravalli, Nilgiri, Shivalik and Vindhyanchal.
For all these sporting activities we have trained coaches who have proved themselves, time and again.
