On August 17, 2024, The Indian Public School, Dehradun, proudly hosted the 18th National Level Extempore Essay Writing and Speech Competition in Hindi, welcoming participants from 24 schools across the nation. The event was graced by esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Budhi Nath Mishra, a renowned writer, and attended by prominent figures including School Chairman Mr. R.K. Sinha, Padma Vibhushan laureate Mr. Ray, and Executive Chairman Mr. Dilip Kumar Kotiyar.

The competition featured two main categories: Extempore Essay Writing and Extempore Speech, judged by distinguished panelists. Notable speeches included "Ladkiyon ki zindagi aasan nahin hoti" by Samridhi from The Indian Public School and "Shiksha mein rajneeti" by Ayush Bisht from Doon Global School.
